A good thing we did
We gathered outside Barclays and protested from about 12:00 till 13:00. City gents in Bowlers asking passers by for contributions to the Bankers 1% tax bill! :-)
Major success in the many questions fielded from the Great British public passing by, bewilderment changing to concern and support for our cause once they became aware of the facts.
Three cheers went up and one for good measure when Barclays closed its doors after a party of protesters got inside got past security and manage to brandish their placards in the bank itself.
To the lady with the children who stopped to ask if it were true Barclays only pay 1% tax and nurses pay 20%. It is true and yes you were right it is terrible.
