In Oxford we will turn Cornmarket Barclays into a Library for a day, so bring a book with you (or more if you can) and we'll show the bankers what we want our money to spent on.
Meet 10am outside Barclays on Cornmarket!

Barclays Library opening scares Vodafone
Me and Mike turned up at 9:50am and waited for people, but nobody else turned up. Disappointed we left to go eat breakfast, but during breakfast we got the call. People were there. We came back as fast as we could and we entered in groups of 2 and 3 at a time and sat down to read out books in our new 'library'. We were told by staff that they understood why we were there but we would have to stay out of the way of customers or police would be asked to remove us. A small group of us went outside to raise awareness and talk to people using the bank as they came in. Vodafone across the road from Barclays shut their doors and had a continuous police presence as the staff watched us. In the end we had approx. 30 people, either sitting in Barclays reading or standing outside raising awareness.
