Ipswich is not noted for its political activism. In this predominantly rural area people seem quite content to keep their heads down and get on with their lives. So not an enormous turnout - at one point demonstrators were outnumbered by police. Nevertheless a small group of determined campaigners stood outside Vodafone in Ipswich with placards, handing out flyers to passing shoppers. The response from the public was generally positive, with a number of passers-by stopping to discuss the issues, genuinely interested in the message we were trying to put out. A reporter and photographer from the East Anglian Daily Times recorded the event, so looking forward to some coverage in Monday's edition.
